Will a 454 TBI unit fit a 1989 305's TBI intake manifold? Should I use the truck's intake? Not sure on intake.

I want to get:
454 TBI unit w/350 injectors
Intake???
World Torquer II 305 heads
LT1 cam
3.42 w/ posi (from LT1 car)
Exhaust headers from 305TPI car.
custom chip???

Any comments/suggestion?

The 454 ss tbi is 2" and your intake manifold is 1 11/16", it techincally would work, but I'd strongly advise against it. The truck manifold is for a big block so it wont work on the sbc. Your best bet is either going with a carb manifold and holley tbi adaptor, and edelbrock performer tbi manifold machined to 2", or a holley pro-jection manifold with 2" bores (dont know the pn, sorry). Good luck man, building the engine is hard but fun and Im assuming it will be rewarding once it ... well starts rewarding me.

btw, a little advice: get your suspension completely done before you take a bolt off the manifold or out of a valve cover. A good engine wont do **** with stock suspension. I know, lol.

Do the 454 TBI's have all emission provision like the 305 TBI's?
