engine coolant question..

I replaced my thermostat yesterday. for some reason the one that was in there (180 that is used in caprice cruisers) was acting funny this year. sometimes the temp would go up to 220 before it would open. anyhow I replaced it and it seems fine now. just wondering about the coolant that leaked out when I removed the housing it sat between the intake and head gasket while I was replace the thermostat. I used the hose afterwards and washed it away. just wondering if there's any chance the coolant could leak in through the gasket of the intake and get into the oil?

thks

More than likely...... no.

If it bothers you, just change the oil and all is well.
