Ok i have a Firechicken With tbi with an ram air one hood i was making my own custom intake system. I was gonna take off the thermac and then rotate the aircleaner box then use the ram air system for a tpi would that work if i didnt use a filter at the begining or would it trap water durring driving

Most of the ram air hoods have baffles in them to prevent water from getting into the intake stream. Using the stock air cleaner wouldn't have any effect on water movement since it would have to go thru the filter and up into the TBI, not going to happen. If you're worried about water getting as far as the air cleaner a few holes drilled into the bottom of it outside the filter element should provide adequate drainage.

thats a cool idea now if i can shape it to go up into the "nose" of my ram air 1 hood
