Keep Quiet...

This is going to sound hilarious to most of you, because it is. My dad is a cop and has seen the troubles that speed has caused. So he won't let me mod my firebird. The problem is that my car looks really fast, yet has nothing to prove it. It's like a poodle with the voice of a German Shepard. Well, I was wondering if there was something that I could do to my car that would be kept hush-hush while giving the stang-boys something to make them sleep a little less at night.

What dady doesnt know, wont hurt him. Hopefully it wont hurt you either. My suggestion is get a nitrous kit. You cant hear it (unless your using it), it can be kept out of sight so he cant see it, and its there only when you need it.

Dear-ol'-dad would never see or hear some 3.73s or 4.10s in the rear with posi and a higher stall torque converter. You could do some suspention mods too like SFCs, LCAs, LCA lowering brackets, and a panhard bar. Tell dad that it's all for "smoothing out the ride"

no, but he still figures that since i live under his roof, he can take the car no matter what.

That sucks then, I figured if he was paying the insurance, it would be pretty bad to make the car faster, thus endangering his policy. but if youre paying your own insurance...go right ahead! good luck with the stealth performance..its going to be a real "sleeper".
