Pics of Peoples Throttle Bracket Set Ups
Well im done putting my heads/cam/and intake manifold on :hail: , now the only thing left really is for me to find a place to mount my throttle bracket. Performer RPM Air Gap, with the TBI adapter plate, so id like to see some pics of people with the same intake manifold and how they set up their throttle brackets. Thx guys.

Edelbrock makes an adj. one for Vortec heads, its a trick piece. I run it but dont got any pictures of it and I forgot the pn lol. Ill try to find it.
I have the Vortec heads and GMPP intake. I tried to use the Edelbrock piece but alignment on the 3 holes (accel cable, tv cable and cruise cable) were all out of whack. I could get it so the accel cable and cruise cable alignment was perfect. But the tv cable was off by 3/4".
I was thinking of cutting the tv cable tab/hole off the bracket and moving it by rewelding it 3/4" to the passenger side.
I started playing around with the stock bracket and have had much better success. The stock bracket has 3 attaching holes.
1 mounts to a coil bolt and the other 2 use the back to intake bolts. What I have done to mine is to bend the coil tab up so the angle would be correct. I did the same with the rear most intake tab. The front intake tab was cut off since it wouldnt clear the Vortec intake. I then drilled a new hole in the rear tab that mount to the intake bolt/stud (small block Ford intake bolt).
To get full travel on my accelerator cable, I had to make a 1/2" spacer ( a nut works well here) to go between the coil mounting hole and the bracket. The only problem I have is that the bracket is too far forward by about 1/2". I have my tv cable adjustment bottomed out. It is definitely tight enough, but I would feel better if it was in the middle of the adjustment. What I am going to do this week is cut the existing tabs off the bracket and fabricate new ones to move the whole bracket back some. I figure once I do this, I will probably be able to eliminate the spacer under the front of it. I will post pics once its completed.
