Hood Clearance

Hey everyone, I was just curious if it was possible to fit an Vortec RPM air gap intake, 670 TBI with adapter, and a drop base air cleaner under the stock hood. Right now I have about an 1" of clearance with my TBI performer, and a 1 inch throttle body spacer. Just want to know if I will have to go with the standard RPM instead of the airgap. Thanks.

I think it should be fine. The TBI spacer is pushing it. At most, you may have to trim the hood bracing.

Alright, I appreciate the info, and I am going to remove the throttle body spacer with my new combo. Hoping for around 375hp with TBI...but not quite sure if I'll make it.

Well, I plan on running the LT4 hotcam that I have sitting in my garage, but with just 1.5 roller rockers. I'm not quite sure how the cam will work with my setup, but I'll be able to tell you in about 1 month. I need about 1 more paycheck before I can buy all these things. Before my cam and head swap I've already run a 14.7 so I'm hoping for somewhere in the range of 12.9-13.3. If it's in that range I'll be happy.

All you need is LCA's, panhard, and some wider tires. Well, that's what I have and I can run around 2.1 for my 60'. I'm hoping now with my higher stall, more aggressive tranny, and wider tires I'll be down into the 2.0 on street tires. Anyways, let me know how your combo runs if you get it done relatively soon, I will be interested.

Sounds real good, you should be able to hook well. I run 3.42's and I love them compared to my old 2.73. Running a posi and gears is an incredible improvement and makes the car much more fun to drive. Let me know if the relocation bracket works well, because I didn't know if it would really make that much difference since my car isn't lowered.
