DO NOT DO IT! You will be better off with the roller peanut cam thats already in the car.

just find a cheap used LT1 cam, .447/.459 205/208 @ .05 , can be obtained for about $50 shipped.

I KNOW I CAN USE AN LT1 CAM,BUT WHAT HASSLES WOULD BE INVOLVED IN THROWING A FLAT TAPPET CAM INTO A ROLLER BLOCK.

you have to change the lifters, timing chain, and pushrods, not sure if there is anything else that would need to be changed. But why go from roller to flat tappet.

sell the cam and buy an LT1 cam, the edelbrock cam is small and would not be worth the trouble.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
For $50 you can get a New Vortec cam at www.competitionproducts.com

The duration and LSA are very close to the LT1 cam. The lift isn't as high, but that just means you won't have to replace the stock springs on your heads.

Click here. It's the second to the last cam listed.

It's a direct swap.
