New Times....Not bad.....Could be better

Well, I went to the track tonight and pulled 4 runs. The air was real heavy all the semi pro people were bitchin. First off the time in my sig was with the same setup but this time with a new prom (better but not perfect yet), by brian at www.tbichips.com. And this time I also had my new stall put in. I must say that the midwest stall of 2500-3000 rpm is bad azz. Best mod thus far I think. Anyway heres some times from tonight.

Best:

Re: .779
60: 2.16
330: 6.19
1/8 et: 9.56
1/8 mph: 73.20
1000 et: 12.47
1000 mph: 84.39
1/4 et: 14.92
1/4 mph: 91.61

Another worth mentioning:

Re: .872
60: 2.12
1/8 et: 9.57
1/8 mph: 74.01
1/4 et: 14.96
1/4 mph: 91.98 (Creepin up on 92mph)

Another thing, kinda funny. I was talking to a guy with an 88 or so IROC with a 40 over 350 runnin 10.5:1 compression and carb. Anyway we were comparing times and he ran a 15.7 and I was like cool. Then my buddy with a mustang walks up and sees the carb and says "Look a carb, that's what you otta get so you can have a real motor too." I thought it was funny, the guy was happy to see that I was running good but he was pissed cause he used to run tpi, and he realized tuning capabilities i think of computers.

Awesome times, but with that converter you should be getting way better 60's. What gears do you have?

I'm getting excited because I have the same mods planned for my car as you have done.. without the heads...(after changinng the head gasket myself I dont ever want to take my heads off again lol)

good times! I can only pray to get that good with my TBI and my budget

I have these parts but no time to put them in yet... headders and y-pipe, rpm performer intake and lt1 cam! when this is all in I will get my chip as well!

Bah it's not always about displacement. I'm trapping 92mph right now on my 100% bone stock (right down to the paper filters and GM exhaust) 305 TPI/5 speed while I see lots of carbed 350's trapping in high 80's.

My 60ft's could be better but, first I'm running 225 cooper cobras with no tread left. So we'll see after I get my 17's. And the best 60ft that I've ever been able to pull without the stall is a 2.35. So I see a great improvement. Oh, and I'm running a 2.73 rearend with a limited slip (thats worn out), so when I throw in a set of 3.73's with an slp posi it'll be a great improvement as well. It's weird when I race against all these mustangs I here them shift into 3rd when I finally shift into 2nd.

It's not about displacement, it's about the combo.
