5.7 to 454 TBI

Hello everyone, i'm new here. I've got a crate Vortec 350 in a 93' chevy fullsize (std cab, long bed) 1500 work truck. We ganked out the old V6 and painfully dropped this baby in. Sadly i left it to breathe thru a stock 5.7TBI w/ spacers and air cone... which is still hardly enough. I can tell as i hear the 'whine' as it attempts to suck in air through the constricting bores.

Those of you who have already done this.. maybe you can advise what i should be aware of. Boring out my manafold to 2" is a must, but will the 454 TBI bolt up to where a 5.7 was? (i'm assuming so) I heard that the 55lb injectors only get a max of 270hp while 90lb injectors go to 330hp. Is this true? If so then my motor might need the extra fuel if it can push as much power as a stock 454...? (the crate vortec 350 proclaims 330hp w/ 670cfm carb) I've got exhaust and headers so she should be ready to breathe whatever i can feed.

Any other advice for my TBI/Vortec setup would be appreciated

sorry no track times... but i can beat my friends 93' camaro RS w/ 305, shift kit, and chip.

I didn't know '93s came with 305s
As far as fuel goes. Make sure you replace the fuel pump with a high volume/high pressure pump. As as far injector size goes, you have a lot of room to play around with as far as pressure goes. You will run out of air before you run out of fuel.
