Stupid Question
Stupid Question
Hey guys....real stupid question...and I'm sure it's been answered in other posts but I can't seem to find a clear answer. I'm looking to increase the idle on my car....My voltage is terrible and I'm idling at around 500 so I'm thinking if I increase the idle, my voltage will do the same. If someone could include pics too I'd reallllllllllly appreciate it. Thanks so much

Stupid answer maybe!
Have you tried to adj. the trottle stop screw yet? I'ts in a little hole on the right front of the TB. About 1/2 turn to the right should take care of your problem.

I can get you picks tomorrow.
Its a little hole on the throttle body. If your looking at the car(Assuming you have already taken the air cleaner assembly off) It will be on the right hand side of the throttlebody at about the same height as your throttle cable. Usually its covered by a small aluminum plug that can be taken out by using a screwdriver and forcing it through. Just don't push too hard.
The screw inside there is a torx head and is the same size as the ones in your interior around the shifter panel and radio pod(I believe). Let your car idle and VERY SLOWLY turn this screw in as if you were to tighten it. When your car idles (when warm) at about 700-800rpm you should be good. Check the tach everytime you turn the screw in, and tap the throttle and watch what RPM it goes down to.
I hope that was easy to understand. Let me know if I confused you in any way. Or need more help.
