With traction that would be a 12 sec setup. Make sure you mill the 350 heads down to keep compression where it is now. You'll need alot of custom tuning as well.

i would run a bigger cam than the LT1 cam with that setup, but with the 100 shot, you could go 12's with a really good launch, and if the tuning is good.

wow 12 sec's thats crazy over parts that you get cheap.one ? what does mill down the heads mean?so with 1500 dollars which is 1000 to the engine and 500 to the suspension our 305 motors can run a 12 high thats awesome so whats the point of getting a 350 that i know easier power and quicker thats all and more realibility thats it

Milling the heads mean shaving some metal off the bottom to make you combustion chambers smaller. The big reason why we're saying 12's is because of the 100 shot of nitrous. All motor (without nitrous) that setup tuned perfect might see high 13's. If you put 1500 into a 350 it would be faster because of more cubes.

You wont go anywhere unless you work on your suspension a lot and fuel delivery. Ask me, I know lol.

You'll probably want a Walbro fuel pump. The 255 seems to be the best choice. A ton of custom tuning to get the fuel curve right. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator w/ pressure guage.

Suspension, you'll want sub frame connectors, lower contorl arms, and a nice rearend setup with good tires.

Just a thought, but what if he didn't mill down the vortec heads and dropped the compression down a little from stock. He may not lose that much power from the loss of compression and would be able to run the nitrous a little more safely, correct?

it is going to be a slouch (relativly) of the juice with the low compresion, he might be able to run a hair more nitrous with lower compresion, but on a stock bottome end, would you want to? the amount of nitrous you can safely runs also depends on the cam you are running, it comes down to cyl. pressure and dynamic compresion ratio.

anyway, i think he is best off milling the heads to 58cc chambers. but like i said, i would run a bigger cam, a holley 670 TB with the 350 injectors, and a walboro pump (this is a MUST with the spray, you need to have enough pump there so that when you add the fuel with the nitrous, you don't have a FP dive, and then goodbye pistons.) if he does that, he will then be into ALOT of tuning, but once it is tunes, with the spray, it could fly.

also, $500 dosen't go far in suspension. it will get you a tq arm, and a set of UNISTALLED sfc's. but do the best ya can with what you got you could get a tq arm, box your own lca's get a set of brackets, and SFC's. that would get you started, but it will be a little more than $500.

If you're looking for just a 14 flat or so just do the mods you had listed but with a bigger cam instead and forget the nitrous that should get you to a 14 time.

That's why he's milling the heads down to decrease the combustion chamber size to keep compression where its at now with the current heads. Nothing wrong with adapting 350 heads to fit a 305.
