ALDL and TPS problem

Hey guys.....well just now I was outside attempting to adjust my idle via IAC and when I put the paperclip into the ALDL, I noticed my TPS was clicking super loud. I actually got outa the car and I could feel the vibration on the sensor along with the click. Is this normal? And if not, what does this mean? Thanks

If you think it's your TPS sensor then replace it. Although I thought it was impossible for it to make any noise... are you sure it isn't your IAC?

TPS is the plug that is the one closest to the firewall on the passanger side of the TB, correct? If so, yeah it was definitely making a loud clicking noice when I had the paperclip in.

What you've described sounds more like the IAC than TPS. The TPS is throttle position sensor, it is located on the extended axis of the throttle shaft. The IAC has a 4 wire block weatherpack and is cylindrical. It should make noise with the paperclip.

Jprevost, yeah you're right. Thanks a lot. But if that's the IAC then what's the plug closer to the front of the car on the same side of the TB? Thanks again

like he said ,, its the tps in front..look at it and you will se that its connected to the throttle shaft.. the one in back of that ,,closest to the fire wall is the iac.. mine clicked too so i dont think its a problem.
