ECM upgrades?
Is it possible to upgrade the from the stock ECM in our cars? From what i've read, the ECM in our cars runs pretty slow. Is it possible to convert to a TPI ECM? I've heard they run faster.

Not unless you change to TPI as well. A TPI ecm is for a tpi car it controls 8 injectors a TBI ecm is for a tbi car controlling 2 injectors.

There really isn't a point to changing ECM's anyways, your '8746 really isn't bad and it now has been hacked up too so if you get into Prom tuning its pretty easy to do with an 8746 now. Check the DIY Prom board too for the PROMinator, that sounds very promising. Just tune the prom in the ECM you have it works very well.
