once again, having done all the mods myself, and doing the math on them, the wonderbar really isn't a handling peice, it is a brace, it will help steering feel, but i don't beleive it will make any diffrence in actualy handling.
but it is a good mod to do, saves the frame rail up front, and does help in steering response and feel for the driver.
but it is a good mod to do, saves the frame rail up front, and does help in steering response and feel for the driver. It has made a difference in my car. one situation where I noticed something very different is hard cornering. there's this right turn after a bridge that I've always taken pretty hard on after work. Whenever I am braking and coming into the turn the right front brake has on many occasions locked up on me. I always assumed this was due to the flex the front chassis goes through. After I put the steering brace on, it hasn't done that on me since.
I've always noticed that my steering would become tight in the joints leading into the month that I am due for a lube and oil change. Greasing up all the lube points always gave it back its fluidity and crispness. Now with the steering brace in, lubing up the points in the front make no difference. It's very crisp feeling all the time now. I still lube it up mind you, but it makes no difference now compared to before.
does it actually make a real difference? I think it does. From the day I put it on, steering has never felt more responsive and as crisp as since I first drove my car.

i know it makes a diffrence on FEEL. i doubt it makes a diffrence on actualy cornering ability, other than the driver confidence going into a corner.
