Open Element with Emissions Installed
Just thought Id share my idea on here, rather than just taping the IAT sensor to the firewall and putting the breather where ever yall do, you can do like I did. I drilled 2 holes to the sizes of the IAT and the breather tube in the base, the IAT is pretty straight forward, now the breather tube I took a elbow off a heater hose and took 2 pieces of heater hose and put it on each side of the base of the open element. Then just plugged it in the breather, this is very easy if you have large drill bits and a drill press. I havent heard anyone doing this, so I thought Id share. GL heres a pic of mine
You can see the elbow and hose going underneath the air cleaner, by doing this the K&N will filter both the TBI and the breather. Also as opposed to using a breather cap, if you get blow by you wont have smoke comming underneath your hood because the TBI will suck it in.

That is the same thing that i did expect I kept the breather out of the air cleaner and in the valve cover. I think most people do this and most open elements come with a spot for you to drill out.

Not to mention you don't have all the scratches where you slipped with a dremel like I did

Yeah the drop bases come with 2 places to drill out easy. One of these days I might get around to actually using them...
