Any Cross Fire gurus in here??? Need suggestions for more power!
My cousin has an all stock 82 Z28 with Crossfire injection. What are some ways to modify for more power then stock but keep the Crossfire? I know nothing about them, and most people I talk to say junk the Crossfire and go carbed. He would like to stay somewhat original. What are some good mods and any sites/links for more info on them? Thanks !

Yes, there are some crossfire guys here
First, he wants detailed crossfire info, send him to the Crossfire Injection Vault
Thats the most comprehensive set of information out there.
I personally got a 1.1 second gain with edelbrock tes headers + yipe, and a full 3" flowmaster catback exhaust, new wires / rotor / cap / coil.
I ported the manifold, and installed a 2100 stall torque converter - that was worth another .35 - Tech article on porting the manifold
The heads / cam in that 305 are nothing special - I am of the opinion that the cost of putting a carb on that motor is better spent on heads / cam. If he wants power out of the motor, he'll want to look at it as a system - the injection portion is only a small part of the equation.
Most of the people that spend money on them long term go to better heads (58cc vette heads or World Torquer 305s are good option), a larger cam, port the manifold, bore the throttle bodies, etc.
If he's got highway gears, a 9 bolt rear with 3.27s is a cheap upgrade (paid $250 for mine) to get better gears, a stronger rear, disc brakes and posi.
Most of my info is at www.crossfireinjection.com - its not pretty, but its there...

as for mods, id start like most of the TBI cars... headers, heads, cam, ect... and work your way back until the only thing left is the intake... and yes id port/hack the intake..

I believe the car ahs the G92 package since it has rear disk and posi. I assume it must be 3.23's. It is a fully loaded, all option car.
How bad are the stock heads? Why did they cast the intake like that with such small intake ports???
I will go check out the sites you guys listed, thanks!
