Oil Problem
I have me a small problem, well rather a medium problem. My engine which is only 2 years old, is loosing oil! Every two weeks I have to add a quart or two! I have been checking the exhaust and there is NO dark smoke that would suggest the engine is buring it. There are NO leaks on the pavement where I park. The only thing that I see is that the valve covers are oily all the time, not hugely oily but enough that they are moist. Any ideas before I lug it to a shop? Also does anyone know how I could go about getting info on a rear drum to disk conversion, IE what parts I need and what kind of work it entails? Bottom line is I am fixing up a neglected camaro to its prime. So far I got sub frame connectors, 30th aniver. seats, 350 engine from a 305 and a few other small things thus far. In the future is a paint job, carpet, headliner, weather striping, and of course more HP!! Thanks to those who reply!!

hmmmm.....how many miles do you put on it during the week?
It could be possible that your valve cover gaskets are bad, and the oil that is leaking from them is burning off on the exhaust manifolds, though I doubt it. If there are no signs of oil spots on the pavement (i.e. external leaks) and you really don't think she's burning oil in the chambers, then all, I can think of is maybe a bad pvc or breather filter
There is a tech article on the disc break swap on this page

I drive about 15 miles a day for 5 days out of the week. I have not changed out the breather filter since I have owned the car and I have had it for about 3 years now. I will try that but I still find it hard to believe that would cause that much oil loss. Maybe it is a combo of things?
