Crossfire injection???

What is the difference between CFI and TBI? Or is there a difference..

I tried going to howstuffworks.com and looking it up but all it shows me is stuff like "why doesn't my car start in the winter" and junk like that.

Any help on this topic would be greatly apreciated.

CFI uses 2 one barrel throttle bodys with one injector in each.
they're "across" from each other..

TBI as we think of it is a single 2bbl 2 injector setup that looks like a carb..

athough technicly, since the CFI has the fuel injected into the throttlebody, they're both Throttle Body Injected... and thats why they're both on the TBI board.

heres a CFI:

Are there benefits to running a CFI Setup for a TBI?

both arent exactly prime canidates but the tbi is definetly the better way to go... crossfire (anyone else get reminded of the game? ) has small ports, not to mention the ecm's are probably hard to tune, i dont know for sure im just guessing. also there is 0 aftermarket for the crossfire... its just not a smart budget wise choice to go... there was some kinda manifold someone designed with the crossfire set-up but i cant find it... some guy on here said he put it on a 400 sbc and had great results... overall though it seems to be one of those things people improve only because someone else says it cant be done... no one chooses a crossfire because its better.

the aftermarket manifold is the X ram... theres not a huge aftermarket, but there is one, and a loyal following.. keep in mind that the C4s had CFI alot longer then the Fbodies....

tuning is the same.. you can even run the 747 TBI ECM with the CFI if you wanted... they're the exact same thing except that the two barrels and injectors are across the manifold from each other instead of next to each other..
