Vacuum Loss At Throttle Body---help!!!!
I HAVE A 1992 5.0 TBI... CAMARO RS
I HAVE RECENTLY HAD A MAP SENSOR CODE 33, AND SHORTLY AFTER THAT A CODE 32, EGR....
THE CAR STARTED RUNNING LIKE CRAP.... CUT OUT, STALLING,HESITATION.ENGINE LIGHT ON...
I STARTED CHECKING CHILTONS BOOK ON CODES.
I NOTICED A NOTE TO UNPLUG MAP AT CONNECTOR AND TO TEST MAP...
THE CAR STARTED RUNNING REAL GOOD WITH MAP UNPLUGGED.AS THIS FORCES IT TO GET FUEL DELIVERY FROM THE TPS SENSOR WHICH IS WORKIN PERFECTLY BY MY TEST WITH VOLTMETER. IT GOES FROM .045 AT CLOSED THROTTLE TO AROUND 4.75 VOLTS AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE..
I PURCHASED NEW MAP SENSOR AND TRIED THAT BUT MADE NO DIFFERENCE.
I THEN NOTICED MY EGR WAS NO LONGER OPENING.. THIS IS A NEW EGR JUST A COUPLE MONTHS AGO..
THEN I CHECKED FOR VACCUUM AT THROTTLE BODY AND FOUND NONE...
SAME THING FOR PORT AT REAR OF TBI FOR MAP SENSOR.....
ANY IDEAS????
I AM ALSO GETTING A LIGHT BROWN PASTE LIKE COATING AROUND THE WALLS OF THE FUEL INJECTOR SPRAY AREA.. I ASSUME FROM THE FUEL.
ANYONE EVER SEEN THIS BEFORE??????

if it were me, i would change your tbi mounting gasket, or just make sure the tbi mounting bolts are nice and secure. its a place to start i guess.
as for the paste, are you talking about the walls of the tb bores? if so its probably "varnished" gas from injector spray. thats my guess.

Just to let you know all caps means your screaming and if your not carefull you'll hurt someones sensitive ears.
As far as the problem you're having I would take the tb off and clean it out really good. Have you checked the pcv valve and the filter inside the air cleaner assembly? You may be getting too much oil vaper into the air cleaner. Just a thought.
