If any of you guys haven't seen yet, they're taking pre-orders for the Prominator and starting production. Should be shipping in a couple weeks!

man has landed to moon etc.(just to give a imagination of man's capabilities)
so my question is: isn't there any device that could get tuned by itself?Does it really have to be that hard that you get a laptop and stuff and make a bunch of wrong tunes to get the car running?

Man come on! For all the time anyone's been building up performance engines and big power setups you've had to tune it. Tuning in your car for your combo is part of the whole game here, you can't just expect something like that, then it loses a lot of the fun and competitiveness. Study over a lot of that prom tuning stuff and its not that hard, you won't be making a lot of wrong tunes. This is a great tool that was just developed and should make the tuning much easier for everyone.

I'd like to see it include the functionality to directly read memory addresses.. this way you could get any data point you want to log at an ungodly framerate. This would again extend its tuning capabilities greatly.. and be a easy fix for 160 baud equipped cars. I have seen absolutely no mention of this functionality, and it greatly disheartens me considering how close to such the unit appears to be.

Yeah, the only thing I've seen overcome our 160 baud data rate is "lockers" might want to look into that further if a higher data rate is what you're looking for.

TechSmerf, have you ever mentioned it on the diy-ecm board or to Mangus. Who knows they may be working on it already.

Somehow I doubt it's even possible, or I'm pretty sure Craig and Mangus both would have at least made mention of it.. not even sure offhand where I got this idea =P
