belt problem

my serp. belt is riding the inside edge of the crank pully. its done this twice. everything is tight and aligned. the belt is two years old.
since my ac doesnt work, i want to lose it. i like the idea of converting to v belt. other than brackets, clockwise water pump, and pullys, it seems easy. suggestions?

any idea why it's doing it? sounds like your balancer may not be back far enough...

Thats what I was thinking. Either that or your tensioner is shot and allowing the belt to "walk" on top of your balancer pully. Maybe try to put a level on your top part of your belt and lower part and see if maybe your balancer is out a bit or if your bel is not straight up and down.
