Finally got to drive car after 3 years of being broke down!!

Well I finally got everything back together and running today. It was such a nice feeling to drive the car again. I took it to the muffler shop to get the rear section put back on and added some 3 1/2" crome tips. I hads to cut the rear part of the exhaust off to remove the fuel tank to do away with trhe intank pump.

The car runs better than I remember. Since it broke down 3 years ago I've put in a Summit 1900-2200 toqure convertor, Energy Suspension poly trans mount, added a B&M flexplate & drain plug kit, new front & rear seals in the trans, a new rear seal in the motor, new valve seals and O-rings, a Holley Blue fuel pump, put a rebuild kit in the TB along with the Ultimate TB mods also had to replace one injector, AC Rapid Fire plugs, Accel wires, cap & rotor, an ignition modgul, new brake calipers, Earl's stainless braided brake lines and a Moroso air filter.

I still have a '94 LT1 cam to put in sometime soon. But for now Im just happy to be driving the car. Tomorrow I'm going to get tag and insurenace for the car again. Other than the LT1 cam that will be all the mods I do to the 305. From here on untill I get the 388 finished I'm only going to do chassis mods.

Oh well just had to let ya know, I don't think I would have got it back going with out the help from everyone here at Thirdgen.org on the TBI board. Thanks, Bobby

Hey congrats man!! That is really exciting to hear. Sometimes it doesn't matter how fast the thing is, it's all about how it makes you feel after modding it. There are always things out there that are going to be faster, but the real question is there anything out there that is cooler??? Can't wait for the day to be cruising in my hog as well.
