Holley FPR ??
Hey I just got my holley 670. The blocker plate on the fpr for the adjustment screw seems to be pretty heavy duty. Can this one be knocked out like the stock one with a punch? Also any chance the gm vafpr I bought and put on my stock tbi will work on the holley? They look like there might be alittle difference in shape.
And how can I tell if I got a newer one with delphi injectors or a old style one?
Thanks

The GM regulator should bolt up to the Holley. The Heooley one is adjustable though so you may want to figure that out. It can be adjusted from the top if memory serves me correct so that you do not have to take the top of the TBI apart every time to adjust it. They just simply bolt on and off so 2 minutes with a torx bit screwdriver should give you your answer.

The "blocker plate" is pretty easy to get out. The way I got mine out was by making a small hole via drill. Then I used a long screw to fit the hole, and a little tug and it was out.
The way to tell if you have delphi injectors:
Black half sphere caps and two vertical leads on the injectors=mopar junk
Side mounted posts=delphi injectors

Well I ended up with old style injectors then. I think I might go ahead and try them though. My 350 injectors that I'm using right now seem to be alittle iffy when it comes to a perfect cone. ANd my stock 305 injectors are to weak I think.
So, the main complaint is that the holley's leak and drip? If thats the case I'll hook them up and run it and see how they do. If they're bad I'll use the 55 lb. one's. Any chance that some of the holley's have no problems? Or are all bad?
Yeah I took the drill to the cap yesterday, then I had to heat the screw up with a torch cause they had some hella loctite in there.

I'd say modify the holley to accomodate your stock injector pod and use your 350 injectors as long as you have them. Just do a clean up job on them and replace the filters. I'd think they'd be a safer bet than the older style holley ones.

Honestly, I don't think the Delphis are all THAT great.
The reason I like them is because they can handle higher pressures (though there are a few people running around 30psi on the gm ones as well). They are also more compact in size, thus making the injector pod smaller, which I would think would lead to more air flow.
I never had any problems with my 57pph delphis, but my 85pph are a little troublesome. The spay is not a perfect cone, and there is a drip with one of them. I think the drip may be due to replacing the o rings, and not matching them to the EXACT size holley supplied. Who knows. My plan is to send the injectors off and get them professionally cleaned and email holley about getting some o rings
Give the older holley injectors a try, and just keep an eye on the spray pattern. Like Bron said, you can modify the base to make the gm pod fit, or you can buy the delphi pod and injectors seperately. The pod is $80 and injectors will run another $170 or so for both.
