Crazy Idea

Ok everyone. It's 330am here in Hawaii & I'm probably half sleeping but I have a crazy & probably stupid idea. Keep in mind I'm new to TBI so forgive me if this makes no sense what so ever or if it's a stupid idea. I was under the impression that airflow might be a drawback with our TBI setups & not neccesarily fuel flow being a problem. What if you somehow jerry-rigged a 4BBL throttle body with just the 2 injectors? Ok let the opinions roll in & I'll probably get some sleep. TBI gurus out there, sorry if this is a stupid idea

Well the 4BBL systems don't really lack the air flow problems that a 2BBL system does and they need all 4 injectors. Even on a heads and cammed LO3 the 4BBL would be overkill. When you get into the larger displacements you would have to max out the 670 or 454 units first. It is a novel idea none the less.

actualy with both the 2bbl and 4bbl the fuel flow is what becomes the issue. the reason holly only rates the 900cfm units for 500hp, is due to the limit of the injectors. with 670 CFM of airflow, you should be able to make more than 300hp, but again, the injectors become the limiting factor on the holley 2bbl units again.
