Who has one of these? What do you think of it? Is it really 2inch bores?

Thanks, Mike

Looks like the real deal. It's a little pricey but I am putting on 454 TB and the little hassles they mention are for real. If you don't mind paying for someone else to solve the hassles, go for it. Keep in mind the stock manifold only has bores for the 1 11/16" TB. Unless you bore or replace the manifold, you're not gaining anything but a 'refreshed' TB.

you will need to purchase injectors or increase the fuel pressure on stock injectors or use VAFPR.

I have been looking at the pictures and comparing them to my 48MM trottle body and I can't believe its 50 MM, which figures out to 1.968" buy the way. There are spots on the casting that would break through at 50 MM.

Joker,
That's kinda the way I feel. It just don't look like 2 inch bores. If anyone has one of these please measure the bore size and let us know.

Yea, but if you look at the website it tells you they fill the breakthroughs.

I looked at the underneath side pics, and what I'm trying to say is; IMO there is to much casting material left near the vacume ports to be bored out to 2" . I could be wrong, it would be great If some one could verify the size.

I can't confirm that it's 2" or not. I'm deployed overseas, but I'm due home in less than a month, then I'll be able to confirm it.

However, I can confirm one thing though; this guy is not very good at answering emails. I'll have to send him 3 or 4 just to get one response from him. Normally this might not be a huge deal, but being here, and having limited internet access, it's a major pain in the ***.

Just so you know (if you could use it), Turbo City has a 2-1/16" bored out 454 TBI for ~$230 and flows "730 cfm".

It's the first one listed...

it was said the limiting factor for us may not be the CFM's but in fact the LBS of fuel. the largest injector is 90 lbs and that at 90% duty cycle can support ?? in HP. there are calc available on this. when inj is too small the next step is a 4 injector system (holley/edel)...

Well, I'm finally home. . .

If the thing aint 50mm, then it's 49.5mm

It looks like they did a real good job with it. I still wish they would shaved down those lips on the top part (the ones we take off w/ ultimate TBI), but it is definately a good piece.

The headers and crane ignition are already in. It only took 1 day.

I'm running by a shop today to find out how much it would be for the labor for my engine swap.

Gunny, can you post some pics of the tb you bought? I would like to see what they do to it.
