What if I put a CrossFire(CFI) setup on the 388ci I'm Building
Do ya think that I could make more power with CFI than TBI? I was looking on Turbo City's site and saw the wiring harness and you can use a newer & faster style ECM. They also will open up the TB for you, but I've saw a place on E-Bay that seemed to do more opening and better work. The 388ci should be right near the 500hp mark making about 575+tq. I just keep seeing the TBI system not allowing this, even with the 2" Holley unit bored out. Do ya think the 2" Holley unit would even be worth a try? I'm wanting to know the limites of a CFI system? I'm still wanting to go with the 4bbl TBI but don't know how I'll work it forsure unless I get the whole 900cfm kit with computer and all, which I may do. But I don't think the kit runs the distribitor, ya know? Thats one of the reasons for wanting to keep the ECM. Maybe even go with some type of TPI if I don't use the ECM, like a Holley Stelth Ram, think that would be good?
Thanks, Bobby

I believe in the Crossfire setup, but the stock intake will not power you up to 500. It would have to heavily modified.
You could run on of these:
Its an Offenhauser intake similar to the ones on the old 69 camaros meant for 2 four barrel carbs. These things are torque monsters!

To get that kind of power you are going to have to go with a single 4bbl set-up. Holley's high end 4BBl kit can support just under 600hp. That is the range you are looking at. Holley only rates the 670 to 275 hp but we all know it can go past that a bit. How far is still unknown. I think you are going to struggle if you try to feed that with a cross fire set-up.
