Dug around a bit and found this posted by Grumpy on the voltages vs. afrs for stock type 02's

.1v=17:1; .3v=16; .5v=14.9 ; .7v=13.8:1; .9v=12.7:1

~.98 volts is 11:5:1

That should give you some idea of where the stock 02 should be. Very rough estimate jsut using the stock 02 but its better then guessing I suppose. One wierd thing is that, under load, your 02 volts start off at around 1.05 volts for awhile and then start decaying down. The falling 02s look like maybe the pump flagging and allowing the pressure to drop off.

That sucks that it only ran a 17.XX. With all the mods you have it should DEF be much much quicker. Mine used to run that before I rebuilt the engine. Everything is stock on mine except for the cam and muffler and mine ran a 15.3 at 92.

BTW, Bill, the phrase of the day is "Pig Rich" ... cripes. Your BLMs also tell a sad story about your VE tables.. rich at WOT and lean almost everywhere else.. Needs work, man.. needs work.

Going off the BLMs alone from those two data logs, they never go above 128! They're always around 100, and lower than 128 means the car's rich, so from those logs, it's rich completely across the board. What kind of mileage are you getting?

Oh, and that detonation, really has to be fixed too! The computer's probably yanking out so much timing, which would cause much slower E/T's. Maybe take it out of the base timing (converse to what I said earlier about adding it, I didn't see the logs, but this will still make it feel like it doesn't have any timing because it all gets pulled out) and see how that affects it.

Even though it's rich I'mm getting abut 22 mpg. That is down from 25 mpg before all the mods and chip.

So from the tables I should add timing?

My bad.. I was looking at the INT sensor thinking it was BLM (trying to read the CSV in a plain text viewer can be a pain.. it was hovering around 128, and I assumed...)... moved it to a spreadsheet, and WOW. *PIG* rich. Everywhere. That is a horrible chip.

It being rich everywhere, across the board. I would try keeping the chip and lowering fuel pressure that might bring it a lot closer to where you want across the board.

I was getting around 24 when I was pig rich. After I got it tuned in, my fuel economy tumbled to around 17 mph. Runs alot cleaner, better, and the motor oil stays squeaky clean but gets bad fuel economy. Guess thats the price of increased performance.

As for tuning, the timing and fuel will jsut be the tip of the iceburg. There will probably be alot of other stuff that youll want to tinker with to get it to run well. But yes, tuning in the timing will help a bit. Youll probably also find that the motor will lean out some when the timing gets closer to where its supposed to be.

Just put another chip in today. Seem to be running a bit better. I'll do some more datalogging to see how the mixture is.

I may take it to the track on Friday to see if I pick up any more time with the new chip. First it is going into the shop for a few nagging issues that I have not been able to track down. First and foremost being the starting issue. Man it is getting old!

So if I have it back by Friday I will take it to the track. I'll post the time slips.
