SES light and no code?
SES light and no code?
Guy I know has this problem.
SES Light comes in every once in a while, but no codes stored.
Car has 300K on it.
Car ocassionally falls on it's face while driving. Sometimes can't give it hardly any throttle at all. Wouldn't start once.
Changed the following.
Coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs,oil,MAP.
Checked ign. module, FP is 12psi.
Thoughts?

By not storing codes, I assume it's giving a code 12 only... perhaps it's really throwing a code 12 (no distributor reference pulse).. ignition module or coil getting ready to fry. Just an idea.

Well you if you have 300,000 miles than you are about due to cash in the LO3 for good. Your problems are most likely past general repiars.

I'm just ticking past 290k.. only smokes on startup.. I don't see the problem with all those miles
*edit* then again.. I have a wednesday car. others experiences may vary radically.

From the looks of it your not in an LO3...if you do have a 383, something tells me it isn't stock, and your ECU might not be comunicating properly or something....
