ok, ive read the forums, and the history, and i get differing stuff....
What is required to install with the cam.
I know valvesprings are recommended, but what about like pushrods and stuff.
What SHOULD you install when installing the cam... thanks.

pushrods and lifters form your current stuff is re-usable. valvesprings are recomended. you will need intake gaskets, timing chain gasket, and valve cover gaskets. i would suggest a timing chain also, chances are yours is worn. also, remeber to rent a balancer puller, if you don't have one.

Definetly get a harmonic balancer installer also. I watched a buddy of mine ruin his crank threads in a brand new GM crate engine because he just tried to use the bolt to reinstall the balancer. Sad day that was lol.
Didn't matter in the long run because he drove it home from the garage and it has sat since....brand new motor and it still wont run

Transmission: 700r4, 2200-2400 stall, vette servo
Axle/Gears: stock pegleg 2.73 drum (temp)
Don't forget these items/tools:
11 quarts of oil
2 gallons of coolant
1 bottle of Fast Orange
1 tube of RTV
Harmonic balancer puller and installer
Cam remover tool OR three long bolts to fit in (3/8"?)
Cam swap gaskets: intake, timing cover, etc
You're gonna want a grinder to get the timing cover back on easilly
Be sure you know how to do the following:
set a distributor and know the firing order (18736572)
set valve lash properly
This thread should provide a lot of help and pictures
