Finally Got to drive it!

Well I finally got to drive my car today. Alls I got to say is WOW. I hear alot of people say that the L03 TBI isn't a strong contender however I will have to disagree. This car can really move when you giver gas. Right now though, the timing seems to be a bit retarded as it idles at 500rpm (which I am not sure if this is a good thing) and it kinda sputters like its miss firing. I contacted my local Pontiac dealer and ordered brand new plugs, AC Delco wires, Cap and rotor. I have amechanic who is gonna show me how to install all of them and will watch as I do the work to make sure its done right. Also I plan on getting him to show me how to do the timing.

I think once that is all said and done I am gonna have to get this car on the dyno...cuz it definately has some power behind the wheels however I am not sure how much.

Nice to hear. I don't know why people hate the 305 and TBI so much. It can make power very easily. My car does not have a lot of mods to it but it is fast and has plenty of power. I proud of the engine and FI system I have!!

ITs not stock...that I can guarantie.

The previous owner put a 3" exaust system on it, headers, hi-flow cat and a flowmaster exhaust system. I was also told that he put a shift kit in it...whatever that does. Also the heads are Edlebrock and the intake is aluminum.

So the engine is far from stock. The guy said that if his girlfriend didn't take the car the next mod was gonna be a Posi setup and better gears.

I think I am gonna have some serious fun with this car. I do have a way some L03 drivers can make their car seem faster. Try driving a tempo for 3 years .

Yea that is just the valve covers and is independent of the heads. You can run edelbrock heads on our cars as long as you do all the things necessary to make them work.

Oh ok. Well like I said..I have a mechanic who will be teaching me the basics of a tune up next monday. I plan on asking him to give the car a good look over to see what is what. All I know is this car has no problem moving.

First time I took it out was to go pick my mom up at work. My dad decided he was gonna come for the ride. I was cruising down the highway at 140kmph. Dad was like "SLOW DOWN!". I responded "I am barely pressing the gas!" as I was weaving around transports with little to no suspension dips. Yep loving this sports car stuff.
