fuel pressure guage?
is it possibe to hook up a fuel pressure guage to our TBI's? i think my fuel pump is going and id like to have the pressure gauge to check it at highway speeds cuz it runs fine at idle, plus it would be a good investment overall.

Yes you can. You can hook it onto your feed lne and read your pressure at idle. Or you can fab it up and have it sit on top of your hood so you can read it at WOT. I would just data log to see what your fuel demands are. There are lots of posts out there on this. You will see that many people get the summit one for 20 bucks. Most people do this to make sure that their pump is not dying.

like I said, if you plan on putting it inside the car the electric is the only way to go. You won't pass tech at the track with a mechanical guage inside the car. If you don't plan on putting it inside the car then you'll be fine, but otherwise go electric.

what do you mean it wouldnt pass inspection at the track if its mechanicle? is their a safety hazard involved?
i will check into electric ones then, though they look expensive, and now i believe my problem is the egr valve, so i may not need one so soon afterall

i would think a long hose to gauge and then allow it to come into passanger window for testing purposes only. a passanger could hold it or could be duct taped to inside window very temporarily.

I have this electric A/F gauge on my a-pillar:
SUM-G2986 (summit p/n)
. . . in this Autometer pod:
ATM-10201 (summit p/n)
I also have an analog gauge mounted in my engine bay in the feed line similiar to what Chuck posted.
The electric gauge plugs into the O2 sensor. It's very easy, and VERY sweet looking.
