A pretty good night at the track....

well, i went to the track on saturday (first time this year.) i am still trying to get through emmisions, so the stock cam is back in, so i'm running a stock LO3 with headers, and exaust. and a fair ammount of tuning, i hadn't been able to do any track tuning with the headers on yet, and the battery in the laptop was dead, so i didn't get to make any adjustments. anyway, things started off bad, i got in line before racing started, and left my fan turned on, anyway, 1hr later when i went to crank it (was going to be the first guy down the track) i didn't have enough juice left to fire it up. so i got pushed out of the way. i finaly got her to fire up abotu 1hr later, with the help of my little brother and some of his friends (its a good thing i have a manual). so i finaly did get to run, i ran the following time, first run.

15.1 @ 90mph with a 2.17 60'

whats interesting is my MPH are almost exactly the same as the 15.5 i ran, before headers, but .4 faster ET :shrugs: i'm not at all disapointed with that time, but i think with a better launch, and just a hair more tuning, i can be in the 14's. i don't know that i will get much of a chance to run this combo, the cam and or heads/bigger cam, will probably be back in the car fairly soon.

Just thought i would share.

Hey that is a great ET. I am glad that you were able to get a run with the stock cam back in the car. Too bad you didn't get to dial in the PROM that would have been perfect for the stock set-up with a full exhaust.

I am hoping for similar results when I finally get the the track again. Might not be until the end of the month, but I will get there.
