cheap mods

Ok im swaping in a 350 into my 92 rs and im looking to do a few little mods to it to make it alittle more peppy but really dont have much money all i have now is a hooker exhaust and i was thinking about headers but share some ideas with me

Save the 350 idea for later if you haven't already bought the engine, and build around the engine swap-stuff to transfer over. A gear/posi swap is a little pricey, but combine it with a higher stall, and it will do wonders: along with headers, cutout, open element, ultimate tbi mods, and advancing your base timing, your car will more than likely be faster than just swapping in a 350, and cost less than a Jasper 350 (which are inexpensive). Also, keep in mind the 350 will require a new knock sensor and esc module, as well as a chip and larger injectors. Just food for thought.
