open engine shots

Post some shots of your engine opened up. Let's see your shots when you took off those heads or put in the new cam. ShiftyCapone said it best "When the motor is all apart like that you wonder "is this thing gonna ever run again?" " Let's see your engine at it's beginning.

You can say that again. My car only had 34,000 miles on it when my cam went in and this was the dirtiest job I ever did ona car. I had fluid of every nature on the floor, grease and oil saturated in my clothes, and metal shards in my skin.

this engine has 136000 miles on it or at least the rotating assem. does now. the only fluid i had come out has about a table spoon of anti-freeze and a little bit of oil. I used the shop vaccum to suck out the anti-freeze, lol worked great no mess on the floor. only problem i had was the rite position to remove the heads best done when standing on strut towers, with the help of my Dad on the ground.

I know it isn't a GM engine, but here ya go. An AMC 360 freshly rebuilt with full port/polish/gasket match. Summit 8600 Cam and hydraulic lifters. It now has an Edelbrock Performer AMC manifold (also ported and gasket matched) with a GM TBI system and an Accel 300+ ignition system. I am going to experiment with the Holley 670cfm TB this weekend. I have an old one from a ProJection system that is missing the IAC. We'll see how it all works tomorrow.

Not a beginning, more like the end of my L03 after a swap... Didnt take any pics of when I had the 350 apart, though. Kinda wish I had.
