Code 32 and 43
Hey guys, just a question. I have always had a code 43 problem, just been dealing with it for the time being but now I have a code 32 which is EGR.
Do these codes have anything to do with each other? The only thing I have done recently was install a open element air cleaner, and I did drill a hole and install the sensor from the original factory air cleaner into this one.
I hear EGR's are pretty expensive so I'd like to trouble shoot this before I go buy a new one.
Just so you know, I have an 88 305 TBI vin code E, and the intake was recently hot tanked and cleaned so I know the ports in the intake are clean and flowing freely.
Thanks in advance!

I don't think they are related since a code 43 is low voltage at EST. I would take off the EGR and clean it out and apply vacuum to it to make sure it opens and closes properly. Chances are it is shot. 90% of all GM vehicles with this style EGR go bad at some point.
