What do you guys Think

Well I just got off the phone with the machine shop...my heads will be ready to grab next week.

Soooooo I have a question for you guys. Its mostly in regards to tuning. My car (l03) currently has a l98 cam, exhaust, headers etc etc (small stuff). and is running the stock chip, but with the timing advanced. The car runs ok...and yes I know I should be tuning it right now even before I start anything else.

My question is that I have a set of Port & polished 416's which I am getting back and a new intake to go on the car. Should I do the heads.......then tune....and then swap on the new intake.....and then re-tune.....or should I do it all at once. If I do it all at once I am concerned that there might be too many bugs to work out etc......

....any suggestions from some of you guys who have been down this road before.

Dave

My advice is to always tune with what mods you have right now. That holds true even if you only have an open element or no mods at all. That way you know how changing certian things makes your car react. You get really good experience in tuning and an overall knowlege of what to look for and change. Tuning new proms for each mod you add makes things run even better and it gets easier as you go on since the changes are less severe each time. Since you already have a slew of mods I would tune now and get it dialed in. When the heads and intake go on you will have a good start already and be able to really make some changes.

You will be much happier in the end. Going for the whole gusto at once as a novice tuner is hard. I have witnessed it and it is no fun.
