performer tbi vs. others
Is there a better manifold to use on my 89 rs droptop than the performer tbi? I'm moving ahead with the holley 670 conversion. I was curious if I am better off with the performer intake, or another intake with an adapter plate? Which ever manifold I choose needs to have the ability to simply bolt the smog stuff right on. Maybe this is a better question, is there any other manifold other than the performer tbi that is a a direct bolt on with all the stock smog equipment? Thanks for your time. Have a good one my friends.

The performer tbi manifold is a great intake. It has the same plenum depth as the rpm intake manifold and has all the hook ups for a direct bolt on. The holes are centered and the runners will not hurt you either as they were modeled after the performer carb manifold. If you are going with the 670 unit you will need to have the holes bored to 2 inches, but that is it. Go with the performer tbi intake manifold.

You do have more intake choices as far as carb intakesgo. Then you can play around with spread bore, single vs dual etc etc.... Thread
