BPW constant

I've just calculated that 90 lb/hr injectors on a 305 would require a BPW constant of 80.5. Normal for the 305 injectors is 134. Is this BPW (80.5) too low for the injector to function properly?

No, that should be OK. I believe I was that low on mine for a while.

If I dropped the fuel pressure down to 9 psi from 13 psi that would put the BPW constant at 96.6. That would surely be operational, right? (I hope)

i would run injector at GM recommended 12-13 lbs and get BPW accordingly. then tune away. why such large injectors? 305?

I got a good price on the large injectors ...and I'm planning on extensive engine mods, so I wanted "room to grow". 300 hp calls for about 90 lb/hr injectors anyway.

I'll think they should do fine. I'll try the low BPW at ~12-13 psi and step the idling up a notch to give them more on time at idle anyway. If that isn't tunable I'll drop the fuel pressure a bit and bump the BPW up accordingly. Should work, I believe.
