1st, where is the easiest place to splice into an ignition wire. I just got a tach and it says to splice into a 12v ignition. ust wondered where the easiest place to do it at.
2nd, Which side of my coil is the negative side? remember, 92 TBI (not sure if they are different or not)
Thanks in advance.

For 12V ignition, gain access to the fuse box and tap into the INST LPS fuse wire (it should be a gray wire). For the tach signal (I'm assuming this is what you are wanting to tap into for your tach), tap into the white wire going from the coil to the wiring harness (FYI, not the white wire going from the coil to the distributor).

Oops, after looking at my post I told you the wrong thing. For 12V ignition, look at the fuse box and use the IGNITION spot. There is no fuse there but that's the best place for a 12V igniton source. Sorry about that.

I got the 12v source figured out, and I just added an inline fuse to be safe since I used an empty hole on the fuse panel.

Use the white wire from the gray connector. Just to be sure, I am going to go check so I'll confirm this in a minute.

Well, majority rules. I have had 4 people tell me it is the wire from the gray connector and the thick white, so that is what I am going to hook it to.
