I started to have an ideling problem again!

Well the car runs ok when driving normall , but when at idel not really good. The car stays at one rpm but feels like if the car is a little camed out. But when i put on the a/c It feels like if i have a 300 duration cam (excadurating). When i play around with the pcv hose i can hear the idle go up and down, maybe about 100 rpms or so not too much i think it is the pcv valve can be bad becouse: At my buddys house the other day we were doing something to his car and for some reson i got board and pulled of the pcv valve from the gourment of the valve covers, And heard a tikking sound. I think thats normal?????? Well mine is just there doesent do anything No tikking, the little valve in side doesnt move (nothing). And the pcv valve is about 5 months old, the hose was used before and then put on my car. What should i do? I think tomarow im going to change the pcv valve/hose. Only about $5.00 right?

PCV vales are super cheap and they should rattle when shaken. You could have a million other things causing a rough idle though.

What is the state of tune of the car.

Plugs
Wires
Cap
02
etc...

I posted that at 5:30 AM. I am having a very bad spelling day.

In an e-mail at work, I told some empolyee's to "apologies for any incontinence this has caused."

I couldn't remember so thats why I asked for the refresher. You gotta keep me straight. What is your base timing set at? I second checking for vacuum leaks. Trace all of your lines and look closely at the base of the TBI unit.

Well i found the victum, it was the vacume the has the one way valve in back of the manifold that goes to the air conditioner. That hose has the biggest crack. Got it fixed and the car is working like a champ. Thanks alot shiftycapone, you are a really good help on the site.
