trouble code 32 and 42

i know the codes mean EGR system failure and ignition control......
so how could i fix the ignition control problem???

the truck runs strong untill 3500 and stays steady at 3500 floored. it wont shift untill you let off the gas, then it shifts and you can floor it again. so why would it just even out floored at 3500???
its a new motor and its all stock. never done this before untill this swap. its a 350 and i had a 350 before this. it idles really weird and put a new IAC on it and it would die and shot those codes. i drove it around for a while and the idle got better but eventially died again. thats the 3rd IAC and 2nd rebuilt throttle body. NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!

As long as you keep this TBI related I will let this live (hint. don't mention your truck again). I geuss we will need more info on the motor (where it came from, what chip, injectors etc etc).

my truck is tbi. thats why im on this site. its a 350 with a rebuilt throttle body. 350 stock injectors. i only rebuilt the TB because it started running really weird. bone stock motor. everything worked fine untill i put this motor in. stock ecm and stock chip. the truck came with a 350 so theres no change there. the old motor had over 250,000 miles so it was time to change since i tow a car with it. the motor sound really good running and floored but just wont rev over 3500 rpm WOT. it ont evern shift unless you let out for a second. ive manually got it up to around 4800 keeping it in ist gear excellerating slowly working my way up. need help. this has been an on going battle for about 4 months now continuously. ive messed with the timing other than the factory set at "0" degrees to see if it would change. new distibutar also. new plugs wires cap rotor whole nine yards.

Check your ground wires, especially the ones at the T stat housing.

New knock sensor?

You may have to scan it to find your prob

as a matter of fact!!

i did put all new sensors because it ran so poorly. "after new motor". and put a new knock sensor while the new motor was on a motor stand because i broke the old knock sensor while putting a starter on the old motor. what would the knock sensor do in this case??

Could be sensing knock that isn't there, and pulling timing.

Knock sensors have a specific torque that they should be installed at. Not sure off the top of my head. If the sensor is overtightened, it is further into the block and will be more sensitive than it should be.

Check your grounds first. That's more likely the culprit.

I'll PM you on the rest
