when setting timing...

Car: 96 s-10, and 89 camaro RS
Engine: 305 TBI with alot of mods
Transmission: 700R4 B&M shift kit
when setting timing...
which mark is zero. Im running nitrous and i want to be FOR SURE. Right now i think the guy before me said it was a 6* advanced. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I could not find the tech artical.

Try to get some sand paper on the timing tab and clean it off. There are numbers on it. This is a blury pic but if you clean yours off it is easily read. There are links on setting your timing in the sticky up top.

Do what shifty said, but 0* should be at the indent of the largest "V" farthest to the right (if facing the engine). Right in the middle of that "V"...hope that makes sense for you!

Thanks guys it did have the numbers. All i did was spray it down with carb cleaner and blew it off with air. Thanks again. The nitrous runs were pretty good. I only did it on the street though. Check for my new post on my nitrous run problems. in the power adder section.
