holley projection manifold install tips.

should be recd by me monday. i plan on replacing the throttle cable as it is most likely worn(101,000 mi.). i have vette. i will assume it is different as it is a crossfire TB cable. would an F body be the choice? the GM TB 7.4L is a truck application 1995 model year. is a truck cable a better idea? do you think the bracket will line up - Holley to GM.? also i have no kick down as a manual trans. will the cruise control be an issue? would hate to replace that unless realatively low cost? any experience with this out there?

Ronny,

When i put the wieand manifold on. I had to modify the bracket for the throttle cable. Basicly i had to cut one 'leg' off, so it would be the correct diffrence from where the throttle body sits.

Hey Ronny. With mine i had to extend the throttle bracket too just like that. Then I had to relocate the coil because the bolt holes on the Holley manifold aren't stock spacing so it won't bolt up. I also have to run an EGR block-off plate because the stock size valve hits the plenum (don't know how a corvette is though). anddd I'm drawing a blank on any other stuff I had to do, but ask some questions if you have them. All in all it wasn't a bad install.
