advice please Vortec heads and cam.
I am putting a set of Vortec heads on mine and a crane .210/.224 .479/510 cam. just curious if this would be tuneable or if I would be better off going to carb?

Tunable... yeah, shouldn't be very hard. Get a prominator and use TunerPro.
If you plan on keeping it in closed loop then there are a few things you want to change before you start tuning the fuel and spark tables. Seting up a good starting bin means reading the "programming 101" written by Bruce (aka Grumpy). That'll explain everything it takes to get really close.
Now if you've GOT to get this car running, don't drive it everyday, don't really care about milage, and live in relatively consistant temperature climate, then go carb.
