cam list
I wanted to see a list of hyd non roller cams that will run in a tbi vortec 355. I have a standard setup - 350 .030 over, pro topline vortecs, speed pro hypereutectic flattops, 9.8:1 CR, 6" scat 4340 rods, whole bottom end is balanced - I decided to take a few steps back and sacrifice some all out power for a smaller headache. I don't think tuning a cc 268h will be very smart for a beginner tuner, I want to see cams in the 110-112 lsa range. Just list the cams and a small comment plz

Your list is almost unlimited. It would be hard to list each and every cam but I am sure most people will post a good range of specs to look for.
How do you want your car to idle?
What power band do you want?
What are your tuning capabilities?

For a beginner, Id recommend using cams with larger LSA's. A tight LSA will throw lots of curve ***** at you when you go to tune it. Comp cams also has versions of their XE 256, 262, and 268 with wider LSA's for computer controlled vehicles if thats what you wish to run. Like shifty said, your preferences and desired setup will dictate what cam youll use.

how easy would a xe256 tune persay then? I'm running a 94 truck ecm, so I've been having a few problems with tuning but it's coming along slowly. The motor is done and ready to drop in, I just need to stab a cam in
since I hesitated to stick the 268h in.

It shouldnt be too terribly bad to tune. Its still a decent cam but it wont be as aggressive as the 268, and it should be easier to handle. I think they make a version of it with a 112 LSA. That would be the one youd want.
