odd problem
odd problem
im pretty sure this has to do with the chip, but on my LO5, i run a 160* thermostat, and im not really sure what the timing is set at, as i dont have a light... but normally the car runs at right below the 1st line on the temp gague.. (around 160-170 methinks) but when it gets over that, i get a cute screeching noise whenever i put my foot into it and get a nice code 43. I turn off the car, the code goes away, but next time i get into it, it happens again, so i just get under the hood, disconnect the thingy that lets me time the car then turn the dizzy a hair clockwise, reconnect everything again and its fine till i get above 160-170 again...

What does the screeching noise sound like? Something on the belt line?
As for the code 43, it could be due to too much timing causing excesive knock, or not enough timing causing no knock during the forced knock test.

no, it sounds horrible.. not like any other noise ive ever heard... more like a clicking, like grinding gears would make... valvetrain maybe... i have no idea.. high pitched, rpm linked.. wasnt from the belt
i still have not figured this out... its really chappin my hind quarters... maybe when i do the cam and heads and stuff i will have replaced enough garbage to figure out wth is wrong...
