Good Choices for the TBI?

Hi all!
So I just purchased a set of 081 casting heads for my 89 305 RS and I was wondering if there was anything I am forgetting to do in my list of upgrades and endeavours to having my engine become one of the strongest TBI 305s out there:

- 081 casting heads for a 305 TPI
- Edelbrock Performer TBI Intake #3704
- LT1 Cam
- Hooker 2055 headers
- 180* Therm
- new cat back system
- Edelbrock Open Air 3" Element
- Removal of Smog Pump and EGR System
- Stage 1 or 2 chip from TBIChips

Is there anything that I should be doing if I am doing the items on this list that I am forgetting?

Are there any suggestions for cat back systems? Should I just remove the cat completely and install a straight pipe or not?

With this many modifications I know I must get a chip to truly appreciate their effects but should it be a stage 1 or 2? Since I am not doing all the mods in one shot (I wish I could)?

With replacing the heads, cam and intake should I replace the lifters, rods, and/or rocker arms? or are the stocks ok? If I should what are recommended for this kind of setup?

I know the opinions out there about just droping in a 350 but I want to truly go the route of the few and foolish and try and get this 305 up there. I am not building a drag machine here just a fun daily driver so my ultimate goal is not 13's in the 1/4 mi. No, my goals is to make the f-ing ***** in the car next to me truely understand the beautys of american engineering and detroit muscle!

nitrous.
While I have no hate for the beloved power gained from nitrous... no... I believe in natural aspiration.

gears?
Maybe in the future when I have an actual garage with the proper setup to do that kind of work.

But if I were to do that I would just switch to the manual tranny and install a new (to me) rearend.

Anyways... like I said... not for draging.. I am not going to drag my daily driver and risk serious damage. Maybe in the future when I have additional cars.
