2bbl or 4bbl holley tbi?

im picking up a motor in two weeks and i want to ask what i should do. its a 350 punched 030 out with forged pistons, 572 rods, i think he said 10 10 cast crank, old set of cast heads 2.02 1.64s with good port and polish good mid range crane cam an air gap with a holley 670 vacuum secondary on top. i want to run a tbi setup. my brother in law told me that a 2bbl 670 by holley would do it. frankly i think that it wont cut it. i want to run the commander 950 unit with the 700cfm 65lbs./hr injectors. also im going to run some nitrous. the guy im buying it from says it has about 400 horse, i dont know if that is credible because i havent seen the dyno sheets. so basically what im asking is have any of you ran these style units, and can tell me pros and cons.

If you get the c950 in a 700 or 900 cfm variation, if you want to get wild at some point, you are set. If you have the money now, and are willing pony up to that, I would do it. The 670 "may cut it", but the growth potential of having the c950 computer, and the big TB would be nice.

thanks for replying. have you had any experience with the commander system? i was thinking about the 700 cfm version because that is the perfect flow for where i want to keep my motor at

I don't run it myself, a good friend of mine runs it on his solid cammed 355 with a HSR. It is a nice setup, tuning on the fly is so much nicer than having to burn chips.

I'd go strait for the 900 cfm TB. FI doesn't need to have a strong vacume signal to operate efficently like a carb does. It does require tuning around, but thats the whole point of FI. You can tune around the usuall stumbling blocks of carbs.

If you have the money and your dead set on TBI then that setup is the way to go. If I had a grand or more to spend on a FI setup it would be a stealth ram or other MPI style setup, with your choice of ECM be it a holley commander or GM.

My fiance has a similar setup in her monte that runs high 13's. So the 400 hp guess probably is a bit inflated for that motor, the old camel hump heads just don't cut it.
