TPS connector swap

I've got a 90 RS with a 305 TBI. I also have a 92 throttle body with all the free mods done to it. The problem is that the TPS connector/setup is different between the two. Is there any way to swap the 92 over to fit the 90? I'd rather not change my car over to accept the 92, that seems like it'd take a lot of wiring and maybe a new computer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but I think they both do the exact same thing electrically speaking. 3 wires:

1. 5V+ constant voltage from the ECM
2. Ground
3. Reference voltage back to the ECM to determine throttle position

Could it be as simple as connecting the right wires together?? I'm sure somebody will chime in with the answer.

I was actually considering doing that, since the 90 connector has three horizontal prongs, I was gonna try to cut it off and strip the wires. Then, connect the wires to the three wires in thewall-outlet shaped connector on the 92 throttle body and see what happened Of course, I didn't want to try it before I got some feedback.

i did it. at home i have the wiring diagram. the GM service manual for Jimmy truck TB was incomplete. we made educated guess and it worked fine. i had a 84 wire harness so not sure if colors are same.

Would it hurt anything to just try wires until something works? If I could find the right combination, I'll see if I can scavenge up the proper connector.

consider using a GM weatherpack connector for the splice
