305 -> 350TBI Conversion

I recently picked up a 92 RS with a 305 in it for short money. The car is in awesome shape inside and out so I am going to keep the car and build it up a bit. At first I was going to convert it over to a 350 TPI with a motor I am almost done building but now I am not sure I want to go with a TPI setup.

After flipping through some catalogs I am eyeing the Holley Pro Jection units (Commander 950) to build something a little different and get away from the typical TPI system.

The motor is a 92 L98 that I have gone .030" and polished the crank, new freeze plugs and bearings, the works essentially. It will have a ZZ4 cam and the matching 083 350 heads. Right now the heads are at the machine shop being done over with stronger springs (to handle the lift of the ZZ4 cam), valve job, etc.

I'd like to know if anyone has had the experience to install one of these systems and how it you like it overall. It definately has an advantage when it comes time to program the chip.

Also how is the compatibility with the ECM when it comes to the gauges and the tranny? At first glance my thought is I will be piggy backing the two ECM's together.

Or do you feel it is not worth the extra money and just go with the TPI? I am curious to hear what people think about this configuration.

The commander system is a fairly good system from what I hear. There was a guy here not too long ago running 12's with it. Should work quite nicely when tuned.
